Ansel Adams and the photographic process

I’ve been searching the web for an authoritative reference to what I believe is how Ansel Adams once described his photographic process:

  1. Look
  2. See
  3. Organize
  4. Expose
  5. Develop
  6. Print
  7. Display

(If anyone can supply a reference for this it would be great.)

The reason I’ve been looking is that some people apparently think “display” isn’t part of the process or at least a part you don’t have to put any effort into.  You tack your loose print to a piece of foam core and you expect me to care about it?  Why?  You don’t.

While searching, I came across this final interview, which is well worth the read.
